crossing paths is the long-awaited debut poetry collection from f.a.peeke. It covers a montage of subjects and emotions which, as the author says, are not exclusive to any age, sex or religion. Discrimination, heartache, grief, joy and love are some of the universal feelings laid bare in this very honest book. f.a.peeke aims to take you along with her on a trek across an ever-changing landscape - one that sees her crossing paths to experience new situations, along with new pains and pleasures. She finds herself asking questions of a somewhat delicate and unsettling nature, but also finds the answers to some of the puzzles she has longed to unravel.
Her poems are interspersed with late-night diary entries, musings and free-flowing thoughts - together with a scattering of photographs taken by the poet herself.
f.a.peeke’s deeply personal poem, ‘Jane’s Prayer’, features in the highly emotive anthology, ‘Please Hear What I’m Not Saying’. The collaboration saw 116 poets come together to raise awareness for mental health charity, MIND, with heartfelt pieces that cover various different experiences and aspects of this vast subject.
All of the proceeds from this book will go to the charity, which the author has a strong and long-standing connection with.
f.a.peeke is in the process of finishing her second book of poetry inspired by her ‘spiritual home’ Ibiza. More information on this will follow shortly.
